This post is suitable for experienced candidates who are confident in supporting pupils in class. Familiarity with the EYFS curriculum and the Read, Write Inc. Phonics programme would be helpful but not essential.

Further details about the role
Calstock School are looking to recruit a caring and committed person to work as a classroom teaching assistant, working across Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. The successful candidate must enjoy being part of a team, be flexible, willing to adapt to changing situations and be committed to further training and skill acquisition.

Hours would be Monday to Friday (all day) 8.45am to 3.15pm.
The role will also include helping to supervise pupils during lunchtime break. This will include assisting with their lunch and supervising play activities/games in the playground at lunchtime.
The successful candidate should have good communication skills, a desire to facilitate children's learning and a commitment to working in partnership with parents and liaising with outside agencies. This is an exciting opportunity where you can make a real difference.
