What skills and experience we're looking for
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work under the direction and supervision of a teacher to assist with teaching, learning, and associated activities in accordance with school policies and procedures. This may include assisting with planning, delivery and evaluation of learning activities; supporting in whole classes and working with individuals and small groups of pupils.
You will have experience of maintaining positive student relationships, understanding the individual needs of students ensuring they have appropriate access to lessons.
You will also assist pupils in impl ementing their own personal care programmes during the school day, specifically in relation to practical support for personal hygiene and toileting.

Castle Donington College recently extended its age range and began teaching KS4 courses from September 2017 for first examinations in 2019. We currently have 564 students on roll in Years 7 to 11. The College is situated on the North West edge of Leicestershire on the Leicestershire, Derbyshire, and Nottinghamshire border. It has excellent links to these cities, being close to the M1 and A50.
