Teaching Assistant job summary
The successful candidate will
need to be enthusiastic, resilient and dedicated to making a difference to
children's learning. You will need to enjoy working with children and be
passionate and committed to helping children develop as independent and
confident individuals. This role will help support pupils to access all aspects
of learning and self-help skills. You will work closely with class teachers and
phase leaders.
You would ideally hold an NVQ
level 3 and a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (C or above) with a high
standard of written and spoken English. First aid qualifications would be
desirable.
This permanent position will be
for a total of 30 hours per week. The hours are 8.45 – 15:15pm with an
unpaid lunchbreak of 30 minutes You would attend all INSET days.

specification. Our interviews will always include relevant questions relating
to teaching and will include questions on child protection and/or safeguarding,
behaviour and safety. There will also be an observation element to the
selection day and a task.

Cherry Tree Primary School is situated in North Watford, near the Asda/Sainsbury’s Dome roundabout. We have two classes in each year group. We have well equipped classrooms, extensive grounds, a multi-use games area, an allotment, an outside classroom and wildlife area. We converted to academy status on 1st February 2018 and we are part of the Inclusive Multi Academy Trust (IMAT).
