What skills and experience we're looking for
To maintain confidentiality at all times in respect of Academy related matters and to
prevent disclosure of confidential and sensitive information
- To work within and encourage the Academy’s Equal Opportunity policy and

- All staff have a responsibility to promote the safeguarding of children and young
people
- Contribute to the overall aims and targets of the Academy, appreciate and support
the roles of other members of the staff team
- Attend INSET, appropriate training and relevant meetings as required and participate in
the Academy’s performance management process
- Carry out all duties and responsibilities with reasonable care for the health and safety of
yourself and any other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work
and to co-operate fully with the Academy in health and safety matters

Futures is an Alternative Provision serving students, with a range of needs,who have been permanantly excluded from local mainstream schools and supporting their reintegration. The role will be mainly based on our school site but on occasion there may be a requirement to support students in mainstream settings so the willingness and ability to travel around the Basingstoke area is necessary and the ability to drive the school minibus is highlydesirable.

The Chiltern Way Academy is a cutting edge and transformational Special Needs Trust providing high-quality education, care and therapy for the huge range of need that exists across the behaviour spectrum.
Our site in Basingstoke is an Alternative Provision for learners who have been permanently excluded, are at risk of permanent exclusion or have medical needs. We can support up to 42 learners on site and we also offer outreach services to support young people in mainstream schools who are facing barriers to inclusion.
We wish to appoint a Head Teacher at our Futures Campus to be responsible for leading and managing the school day and the leadership of whole school aspects in consultation with the Executive Principal and ELT. The ideal candidate will have substantial leadership experience and a proven track record of making considerable progress in critical school improvement.
