Teaching Assistant - Early Years job summary

We wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant for Early Years to join us here at Even Swindon Primary School. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our supportive and experienced team of Early Years practitioners working with children aged 2 - 4 years old.

You will be working from 8.30am - 3.10pm Tuesday - Friday (4 days) with an additional 1 hour after school every other week for an EY meeting. The successful candidate will have a passion and enthusiasm for working with children, be creative, dedicated and have a positive attitude to joining a forward-thinking school.

You must be able to demonstrate that you can build excellent relationships, want to make a difference to all children and have excellent communication and organisational skills.

Your role will include contributing to the delivery and monitoring of interventions for individuals and small groups, supporting assessments and evidencing learning, working with the teacher to create stimulating classroom displays and learning resources plus building positive relationships with the children by being an approachable, caring and supportive role model.

A relevant Level 2 qualification in Early Years and Paediatric First Aid Certificate desirable.

This position is offered on a temporary contract until the end of the academic year initially.
