Teaching Assistant (Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)) job summary
Leodis Academies Trust is a successful Multi Academy Trust with five schools in the South Leeds area. As part of our continued growth we have an immediate opportunity for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team at Blackgates Primary Academy.
As a Teaching Assistant in EYFS, you will provide the support that will help our children succeed. Working within nursery and the classroom, you will work collaboratively with other professionals within EYFS to secure good progress for all pupils, regardless of their abilities and capabilities. With your adept communication skills you will ensure the children are happy and safe while succeeding. Using your skills to organise your work well, you will offer support in the deliverance of educational activities that engage the pupils, be attentive to their needs and assist the teacher in delivering quality education whilst ensuring safety and access to learning for all pupils. Harnessing your ability to relate well to children and adults, you will compassionately support the teaching of our children one to one, in groups, and as part of the whole class, while actively promoting the ethos and values of the school.
The post offers challenge, reward and role development for the right candidate. The role will be based at Blackgates Primary with opportunities to work with other professionals across the Trust.
All posts are subject to pre-employment checks, two references will be sought and successful candidates will need to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS), medical clearance and provide evidence of eligibility to work in the UK and evidence of qualifications.
