Teaching Assistant job summary
This position is to support a student with a visual impairment, please specify on your application that you are interested in this role, alongside details of any relevant experience.
We are seeking to appoint hard working and dedicated teaching assistant to work at The Mendip School. The Mendip School is a school for children aged 4-19 with Autism and Speech Language and Communication Needs.
The post holders’ responsibilities include providing general classroom support, meeting pupils’ emotional, social and physical needs and liaising with teaching staff in the development and delivery of a differentiated curriculum.
Applicants will need to be confident, resilient and have excellent communication skills. Experience of working with children would be an advantage but working well within a team is essential.
