St Anthony’s Catholic Primary Academy are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, child-centred and excellent teaching assistant with experience of supporting children with challenging needs. With excellent behaviour, a fantastic team of staff and children who enjoy learning, St Anthony’s is a wonderful place to work.

This is a role to cover maternity leave and we are looking for someone who can support learning in Early Years Foundation Stage. The practitioner will need to be flexible with working on a 1:1, small group or whole-class basis, and be a great team member. You will be hold an EYFS related qualification and/or relevant age experience and will be experienced in supporting learning in a primary school setting. Work under the direction and guidance of teaching / senior staff in supporting pupils working across the academy, to ensure they make excellent progress.

Contribute to the strong Catholic ethos of our academy.

Meet pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural needs as well as their pastoral and welfare needs. This includes working closely with staff, parents and outside agencies where necessary to promote effective safeguarding of all children.

Develop good relationships with pupils, staff, parents, representatives, directors and primary MAC partners.
