Teaching Assistant (EYFS) Maternity Cover job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (maternity cover) to join our committed Early Years team. Having been rated OFSTED outstanding in all areas in July 2022, Buckland is a thriving village school which offers an incredible range of stimulating, quality experiences. Our pupils are individual, well-motivated, talented, and spirited. They make very good progress, attain highly, and deserve the best.

We can offer a supportive environment to a new member of staff in which professional development is valued. All applicants are welcome; a full induction and support program will be given.

We would like to hear from applicants who have:

              A minimum Level 3 qualification in childcare

                  A good standard of numeracy and literacy (GCSE grade 4-9 or equivalent)

                      Knowledge of procedures for supporting learning and play activities for early years pupils

                          Communication skills that encourage early years pupils social, educational and physical development and acceptable behaviour

                              The ability to contribute to the planning and development of learning activities

                                  The ability to lead and adapt practical learning and play activities, with a focus on our 11 Nursery children
