St Joseph’s, part of the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, would like to appoint a friendly and committed teaching assistant to join the staff team from September initially for a year. You should enjoy working with children and be available every weekday during term time.
This post will involve working within our Y1/2 class with a child currently in Year 2 who has is a selective mute and has a diagnosis of ASD. An ability to communicate using Makaton for this role would be an advantage but is not essential. This role is 5 mornings and 2 afternoons a week.
Previous experience of working with children is desirable. All candidates must be able to commit to upholding the ethos and values of a Catholic school. The successful applicant will be expected to sign and abide by the terms and conditions of the Catholic Education Service (CES) contract.
