Teaching Assistant job summary

Contract: Fixed Term until 31 August 2026

Hours: 31.25 per week, Term Time Only

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to become part of our strong, supportive staff team at our high-performing and welcoming school.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children thrive. You’ll play a key role in supporting inclusion, working with primary-aged pupils, and providing lunchtime supervision and some 1:1 support.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning in the classroom
• Assist with lunchtime supervision
• Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to raise standards

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting, desirable but not essential
• A positive, calm, and confident approach
• Enthusiasm, motivation, and commitment to raising standards
• Strong organisational skills and a flexible, team-focused attitude
• Creativity, initiative, and a willingness to learn and grow professionally
