We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and innovative Teaching Assistant to work at Farmborough Church School, with a child in Reception Class with additional needs for the transition from Pre-School.
The post holder’s responsibilities will include providing support with:
• settling into school
• getting used to the daily routines of the class
• adjusting to the expectations of a primary school classroom
• emotional, social and physical needs as appropriate
There will also be a requirement to liaise with teaching and support staff, as well as external agencies where appropriate, to discuss progress and assist in the development and delivery of a differentiated curriculum.
Applicants will need to be confident, resilient and have excellent communication skills. Experience of working with children is essential. You will be part of a hard-working and enthusiastic team who enjoy the challenges and opportunities of working within a school environment.
