Position: Teaching Assistant

Working: Term Time only (34 hours pw excluding 20-30 minute daily unpaid break)

Start date: January/February 2025

Contract: This is a permanent term-time position; however, we are happy to receive applications from candidates preferring to work on a part-time job-share basis

Salary: Grade 5 Pro-rata salary for this role is £19,100 to £19,711 per annum

The post-holder also has access to the local government pension scheme

The Post

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our Flexible Provision space and withdrawal room. The role involves supporting students with Social and Emotional or Mental Health difficulties to access the school curriculum, both individually and in small groups. It also involves supervising a small room where students are supported to reflect on behaviour decisions as an alternative to suspension. The successful applicant will be someone who works well in a team, can prioritise and is able to work flexibly with colleagues to support students. Good communication skills are essential as the post holder will work closely with staff and students to enable successful inclusion. These results place us as one of the highest performing schools in the county.
