Geoffrey Field Junior School is a well-established school at the heart of the local community. We have designed our own highly effective and unique ‘local curriculum’, built to inspire and equip pupils with self-belief and a love of learning. Pupils really enjoy coming to school, where they are exposed to a rich array of cultural experiences and community opportunities.

We believe that we play a vital role in preparing our pupils for, not only the next step of their learning journey, but for adulthood and the world of work. We encourage them on the path towards being independent, confident and motivated citizens, able to make responsible choices and take full advantage of opportunities that life offers.

We are seeking a flexible, hardworking, and motivated individual to join our team of Teaching Assistants. You will play a crucial role in supporting our Classroom Teachers and contributing to the education of our pupils.

You should have experience of working with children, ideally within a KS2 school environment. You should have a passion for helping children to discover, develop and achieve within a whole class environment, in a small group or on an individual basis. You would be willing to support the Teacher, the pupils, the learning and the School.

The right candidate would be:

  • self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • able to work well within a team with strong personal skills
  • patient, kind and supportive
  • enthusiastic, inspirational and have a passion for learning
  • able to demonstrate good levels of English and Maths

We can offer:

  • a welcoming, supportive and motivated staff team with high levels of expertise
  • great children who love their school and their learning
  • an exceptional offer of continued professional development

Are you interested in making a meaningful impact on children's lives while working in a fun and supportive environment? If so, we would be delighted to hear from you and provide a tour of our school.
