What skills and experience we're looking for

Are you passionate about helping children to learn? We have a full-time, fixed term position for a caring and enthusiastic professional with excellent maths and English skills and a passion for supporting children’s early development. The successful applicant will work with children of all abilities (including SEND).

We require a Teaching Assistant who:

  • Is a passionate, enthusiastic and self-motivated practitioner who shares a love of learning in fun and engaging ways.
  • Will support children, staff, parents and the school to establish a supportive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Can form quality relationships and employ effective behaviour management strategies with both individual children and larger groups.
  • Is supportive of our trauma informed approach to relationships and behaviour.
  • Has knowledge of, or is willing to learn about areas of special education need.
  • Is prepared to go ‘above and beyond' for the benefit of the children.
  • Can work effectively as an individual and as a team, especially under pressure.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to meet sometimes last-minute needs!
