Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting for a teaching assistant for general classroom support.

We are seeking a committed, knowledgeable and creative professional to join our school.

The Role

  • General teaching assistant responsibilities across the school

Applications are welcomed from people who wish to make a difference by safeguarding, raising standards, and improving the life chances, behaviour and levels of attainment for some of the most vulnerable pupils in Stafford and South Staffordshire. Pupils whose previous educational experience, for whatever reason, has not been wholly positive.

Our motto ‘A Fresh start’ is central to the inclusivity of our school; there are strong, nurturing relationships between staff and pupils. The staff have a commitment to help each and every one of our pupils to reach their full potential.

We are interested in candidates that are resilient and flexible enough to work in a pressured school environment. You will work alongside experienced, friendly and welcoming staff members. In addition, you will also be able to access a range of continuing CPD. The successful applicants will demonstrate a strong commitment to the aims, values and ethos of The Manor Hall Trust and be a positive team player.

Please note that references will be requested prior to the interview. This School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A copy of the Safeguarding Policy is available on the school website. This position is subject to a criminal records check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) which will require you to disclose details of all unspent and unfiltered spent reprimands, formal warnings, cautions and convictions in your application form. By engaging in this recruitment process, shortlisted candidates consent to an online search in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education Guidance 2024. This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
