Teaching Assistant (Grade 4) Barnsley, South Yorkshire Grade 4 £19,802 - £21,106 annual (ACTUAL SALARY) 33 hours p/w term time ONLY including 5 inset days We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment for children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs. This role is essential in helping to create an inclusive atmosphere where all students can thrive and reach their full potential.

THE ROLE
As a Grade 4 Teaching Assistant at our school in Barnsley, you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections, develop relationships and lead our pupils on the path to a bright future. This will include working under the guidance of a teacher to support the academic and personal development of children throughout the school day. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young learners while working alongside a passionate team of educators. Some duties include:
Leading small and whole class group work
Assist the lead teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to the needs of each student.
Support children with special educational needs, ensuring they receive appropriate care and attention.
Help manage classroom behaviour by implementing strategies that promote positive interactions among students.
Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop individual education plans for students requiring additional support.
Observe and document student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team on their development.
Maintain a clean and organised classroom environment conducive to learning.
THE CANDIDATE
Experience in a school or similar setting
IDEALLY experience working with children/ young people with SEN / SEND needs
MUST be educated with GCSE Math's and English or equivalent
Ability to communicate effectively with children, adapting language and approach as necessary.
SALARY/ HOURS
