- £23,426 - £26,668 full time equivalent including fringe allowance (pro-rata). Salary negotiable depending on skills and experience.
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to recruitment an enthusiastic, motivated Teaching Assistant (TA) or Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to help our lovely children at Hilltop Infant School in Wickford, Essex to achieve their full potential.
Our new colleague will provide support to class teachers, sharing a passion for teaching and a commitment to the needs of the pupils.
As HLTA, you would provide timetabled support, covering and supporting where needed under the full support and supervision of the SLT and phase teachers.
The successful candidate should:
- hold a minimum grade C in English and maths and a NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Learning Support/Early Years, NNEB or equivalent qualification
- to be considered for the HLTA role a HLTA qualification should be held. Alternatively, applications will be considered on an LSA banding with the view that a HLTA qualification will be achieved within 18 months of successful probation
- have experience of working with children, ideally in a school setting
- put the needs of our children at the forefront of all you do
- demonstrate patience, calmness and flexibility at all times
- have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to children, parents and other adults
- have a passion for developing individual learning and encouraging pupils to achieve their best
- be a team player
- have some knowledge of strategies to support behaviour
