Hooe Primary Academy have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, dedicated and creative Teaching Assistant, to join our outstanding team and make a difference in children’s lives. The successful Teaching Assistant will be enthusiastic, a good team player and committed to supporting the learning of pupils.

The successful Teaching Assistant will be committed to supporting pupil’s learning and to help pupils surpass their expectations. Hooe Primary Academy are seeking candidates that will go the extra mile for our children and the community.

We are looking for Teaching Assistants who have:

Experience of working within a primary school, with a working knowledge of KS1/KS2
Experience working with children with SEMH and SEND
Experience implementing positive behaviour strategies
Excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to working
GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English Grade C or above, and be able to illustrate good literacy and numeracy skills
NVQ2/3 or equivalent qualification in childcare or be working towards the qualification

We are a one form entry school within Hooe which was established in 1926. We have a fantastic school site with three playgrounds, a large school field, and additional classroom spaces which are used for a range of activities. Our primary aim is to encourage all our pupils to be self-confident, inquiring, tolerant, positive individuals, who have respect for the differences of others.
