The Academy Council of this high achieving and oversubscribed Catholic Voluntary Academy is looking to appoint a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to support the education, personal and social development of students with additional needs under the teacher’s clear guidance.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work under the guidance of the SENCo to implement agreed work programmes / intervention strategies with individuals or groups of students both in and out of the classroom. This may include assisting the teacher in their planning and management/preparation of resources.
You will relate well to young people, collaborate effectively with other adults, and have strong organisational skills. You will be an enthusiastic team player with the ability to use your initiative, work independently and stay organised.
You will do all this whilst capturing the spirit of our vision and values and role-modelling exceptional professional behaviours.

- The ability to build a rapport with students and a passion for education and learning
- The confidence to work one to one with students
- An interest in the learning needs of children with Special Educational Needs
- Excellent communication and IT skills
- The ability to work as part of a team
- A high standard of education including Maths and English
