What skills and experience we're looking for
-Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting.
-Knowledge of the EYFS and child development.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written- Patience, compassion, and the ability to connect with young children
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Responsibilities:
-Provide support for pupils, including those with special educational needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning.
-Assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the management of the classroom
-Assist the teacher with the planning of learning activities
-Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes

We are a maintained nursery school which caters for children from birth to five years. We run two provisions; one is a daycare provision for birth to two years and the other is a nursery provision. We specialise in developing staff who are highly skilled in managing children with a wide range of special needs as well as mainstream pupils.
We are part of the IDEAL Federation which includes an additional nursery school and a primary school as well as a PVI nursery. We are also running the Early Years Southwest Stronger Practice Hub for the southwest region.
We work closely with Plymouth Local Authority and manage the Speech and Language Education Team for the city through a service level agreement.
