We have an opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our team.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will help provide a complimentary service to teachers and pastoral staff in the school, delivering tailored teaching activities to pupils on either a one to one basis or in small groups or the classroom. You will be helping children to overcome their learning barriers and to form positive relationships with their peers.
Key duties will be:
• To set our learning resources under the direction of the class teacher;
• To complete basic records with details as specified by the teacher;
• To Provide each child with the level and type of individual support as specified by the teacher;
• To build a good relationship with the pupils.
If you have G.C.S.Es of grade c or above (or equivalent) in English, Maths and Science or significant relevant experience, experience of working with children in a similar environment and are able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, then we would be keen to receive your application.
Other TA related qualifications and an understanding of the needs of SEND (Special Educational Needs) pupils would be an advantage but are not essential.
