We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support our Key Stage 1 classes at Stibbard All Saints Church of England Primary Academy and Nursery.

The position will include supporting children in the classroom with their learning and development and also whilst playing during the school morning and lunch breaks. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the class teacher and may be required to support groups of pupils or on a one to one basis as necessary.

We are seeking to appoint a colleague who:

  • Preferably has experience of working within a primary aged setting 
  • Preferably has a suitable classroom support qualification and has good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Is enthusiastic and energetic and enjoys working with children and is able to form positive and supportive relationships with both pupils and staff
  • Understands the importance of an inclusive environment and has high expectations of pupil behaviour
  • Is able to use their initiative to support both the learning and pastoral needs of pupils under the direction of the class teacher
  • Is calm and flexible in their approach and able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a larger team
  • Is willing to undertake training as required and contribute to the positive ethos of our school

Working hours

The working hours will be from 8.30 am to 3.00 pm, Monday to Friday, with a half an hour lunch break.
