What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work alongside the teaching staff to support the learning needs of children with an EHCP Plan. This position has the flexibility to be a 1:1 and Classroom Teaching Assistant.
This position will be for a Key Stage 2 class, but the successful applicant should be prepared to work across all classes in the school.
We are seeking someone who:
- Has experience of children with SEN and those that show autistic tendencies
- Has excellent skills in Numeracy and Literacy
- Can support social communication and language skills
- Promote and nurture independence
- Use their initiative to adapt activities to meet the needs of the individual
- Is proactive and flexible
- Be a team player with a positive approach
- Liaise with the child’s family and professionals involved
- Build’s positive working relationships with children and adults alike
