We have vacancies at this site and at the main school on Granville Road, staff may be required to work at either site, this will be dependent on the skills and experience of the applicant.
Teaching Assistants also contribute towards students’ formal and informal assessment and help build effective relationships between home and school.
All Teaching Assistants are required to be proficient in Safe Moving and Handling techniques and Team Teach. Training will be provided as necessary. A knowledge of Makaton, basic ICT skills and experience of working with students with disabilities, learning difficulties, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour would be an advantage but professionals with a positive attitude who are committed to their own professional development will also be considered.
