Teaching Assistant job summary
We are looking to recruit two teaching assistants to start as soon as possible. This role includes supporting individual students with their learning and generally working within a whole class setting.
We are looking for applicants who have a good standard of literacy and numeracy, are excellent communicators, and can relate well to students between 11 and 16 years of age. A genuine interest in supporting students’ learning is essential, and applications are welcome from anyone wanting to gain pre-teacher training experience. Interest or experience in outdoor learning or ELSA is welcomed.
The contracts will be for one year initially and will be renewed, depending on funding.

Lavington School is a mixed comprehensive school and currently has 850 students on roll, aged 11 to 18. It is situated on the western edge of the village of Market Lavington, about six miles south of Devizes, in the heart of rural Wiltshire. Numbers on roll have grown over the years with the school being over-subscribed. In 2018 the school opened its Sixth Form as a satellite centre of Devizes School.
