What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher with a demonstrable track record of raising standards and the ambition, skills and experience to help lead a school offering challenge and opportunity in equal measure.
Determined, creative and motivated, you will be part of a small SLT that consists of the Headteacher, two Deputy Headteachers and an Assistant Headteacher, and will play a vital role as you bring your experience, vision and ambition that will establish high standards of quality of education within our School. We are looking for an individual to take responsibility for our primary department (EYFS to Key Stage 2), the whole school strategic development focused on raising standards in teaching and learning and reporting to parents and carers and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will work with one of Deputy Headteachers in terms of the Curriculum, one of Deputy Headteachers for Behaviour and Attendance and alongside the Assistant Headteacher responsible for Personal Development.
You will have the desire to drive positive change, achieving maximum impact by working collaboratively with partners and key stakeholders, while promoting a strong culture of shared practice. You will see challenges as opportunities to make a difference to our children and young people and recognise that change requires a solution-focused approach; with the ability to see the bigger picture, taking a systemic approach to ensure success.
