Teaching Assistant Level 1 (32.5 hours) job summary
Keldmarsh Primary School based in Beverley, is currently looking for an experienced primary school Teaching Assistant who also has lunchtime duty responsibilities. We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible staff member within our well established, thriving and dedicated team.
We need someone with a proven track record and experience as a Teaching Assistant across all Key Stages.
The main duties will be:
Support teaching and learning
Supporting the class teacher
Assisting with the preparation of the learning environment
Planning learning activities with the class teacher
Assisting with the development of children in English, numeracy and other aspects of the National Curriculum
Providing comprehensive supervision of the pupils during lunch break. To promote a safe, happy and secure environment.
Candidates must have:
A proven track record of supporting pupils and teachers in a class-based context
Minimum of NVQ2 (or equivalent) and working towards NVQ3
English and Maths GCSEs A-C
Proficient IT skills

Keldmarsh Primary School is in the historic market town of Beverley and is presently a one form entry primary school for children between the ages of 5 to 11. The school is a smaller than average primary school with 214 children. The school opened in 2002 and serves an area of low deprivation. We are in an exciting phase of our development, planning an expansion programme to increase the size of our school in the coming years.
