We are looking for a passionate and conscientious SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team, and to support a child in Early Years 1 who has an Education, Health and Care Plan.
This post is available for an immediate start and on a Fixed Term basis. You will work with a named child, and the post is subject to the child remaining at Kingsmoor.
A sense of humour along with the ability to remain calm, patient and an empathetic manner will be essential in supporting this pupil to meet his full potential.
If you are able to work independently using your initiative, have the ability to adapt to differing needs, be engaging and self-motivated, we would love you to join our team.
The successful candidate will have:
• An NVQ L2 or equivalent Teaching Assistant qualification
• An approachable and resilient attitude
• A passion for supporting children to be the best they can be
• A willingness to try different approaches to enhance learning
• Experience of working with Pupils with SEND (ideally pupils with ASD)
• Strong Numeracy and Literacy skills
N.B. The contract is for 30 hours per week, term time only plus 5 training days
