Teaching Assistant Level 1 - SEN Support job summary
Green End Primary School wishes to appoint 2 highly motivated, dynamic and talented teaching assistants to work in and out of class to support individual pupils. 1 pupil has a hearing impairment and the other has learning, social and emotional needs. The roles will be based at Green End Primary, and the contract will be until the named pupils leave the school or in the event that their EHCP funding changes .
The successful candidates will have experience of working in a school setting with pupils with Special Educational Needs. They will be strong communicators who are nurturing, patient and positive individuals. They will be strong at building relationships with pupils, staff and parents. Strong literacy skills are essential and successful completion of tests in these areas is part of the interview process.
Salary - Level 1, Grade 2 £18,516 pro rata, 20 hours per week, term time only equates to apx £8,826 per annum. Hours of work: 9.30am to 2.30pm with 1 hour, unpaid lunch break.
This position is subject to 2 professional references and DBS clearance.
