Teaching Assistant Level 1 job summary

Required from September 2022 to work at St Hugh’s School with students aged 11-19 years with complex learning, sensory, physical, communication and educational needs.

Main responsibilities will be to assist in developing pupils’ learning, personal self-care skills, and in managing pupils’ behaviour, under the close direction of the teacher or other senior member of staff.

St Hugh’s School is a special school for students between the ages of 11 years and 19 years of age who have a range of learning difficulties including moderate, severe learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders, profound and complex needs and language and communication difficulties.
