What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant Level 2 on a 1:1 basis.

This post is for approximately 24 hours and may include an additional role of Midday Supervisor 2.5 hours per week. This is on a fixed term basis until July 2025 with a possibility of extending the contract.

The role involves providing support and working one to one with a Year 2 child with specific needs. The individual taking on this role will need to be highly motivated, calm, patient and able to adapt quickly to different situations.

We are looking for people who:

  • Are passionate about working with children
  • Are team players
  • Have a good understanding of how children learn

Key Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  • Experience of working with children or in a school setting
  • Excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills
