Teaching Assistant - Level 2/3 job summary

Required as soon as possible - Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant

This is a term-time only role – 30 hours per week (includes 25 hours as Teaching Assistant and 5 hours Midday Supervision)

Monday to Friday, core school hours are between 8.30am and 3.30pm

You will be part of a very friendly team working to supporting a child's learning in our lower Key Stage 2 team.This will be a varied role where you will need to be consistent and resourceful - this is a rewarding and vital role in supporting the learning and wellbeing of our children and you will see their progress every day! An element of your duties will also include preparation of fantastic teaching resources/class displays and will also include midday supervision during the children’s lunchbreak. A Level 3 Teaching assistant role may also include some teaching responsibility i.e. cover for the class teacher on occasions.

The ideal candidate:

  • Will have achieved GCSE English & Mathematics Grade C (4/5) or above or equivalent
  • Has some experience of supporting children in Key Stages One or Two.
  • Will possess outstanding communication skills and can work well in a team
  • Demonstrates an understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues
