Teaching Assistant Level 2/3/HLTA job summary

Eldon Primary School is looking to recruit two outstanding Teaching Assistants (Level 2 and Level 3) and an outstanding Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work across Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception) under the direction of the Early Years/KS1 Leader.

The Teaching Assistants will work under the direction of the EYFS Leader and Nursery Teacher, alongside the Nursery Team. Please refer to the Person Specifications attached.

The successful candidate HLTA will be expected to cover regular PPA and leadership release as well as run intervention groups and support classes across EYFS (and occasionally KS1 if required). Illness and training cover will also be incorporated into the role.

We are looking for a confident and suitably qualified person to cover our teachers' release time who:

● Is an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who will bring a sense of energy and passion to the role
● Is innovative and creative and enjoys developing and maintaining an exemplary learning environment

● Has the skills to support and develop highly effective Early Years learning

● Has high expectations and believes every child can achieve greatness

● Can use their initiative to work independently and flexibly

● Loves working with Early Years children and forms strong relationships with both children and adults
● Can demonstrate and model excellent Early Years classroom practice which promotes children's independence
● Understands how children learn and how to facilitate good progress
● Manages behaviour in a positive, motivating way
● Is able to work effectively in partnership with colleagues, parents and the wider community
● Is flexible and able to adapt to change at short notice
