Teaching Assistant Level 2 job summary
Dear Prospective Candidate,
Devonshire Primary Academy wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 2 (TA2). This is a temporary contract from 06/01/2025 until 31/08/2025 and the post is term time only; 30 hours per
week, Monday to Friday.
The post will involve supporting pupils across both Key Stages but mainly in Key Stage 2 and therefore, the candidate appointed must be flexible and respond to the needs of the wider team as appropriate and as instructed by their Line Manager.
The successful candidate will be passionate, dedicated, innovative and want to make a difference to the lives of our children. They must have relevant school experience and be able to
demonstrate an understanding of children’s educational development throughout the relevant age range. We would be interested to hear of any particular curricular strengths or areas of expertise/interest. The role may also ask that welfare duties are covered at lunch time, assisting with supervision and cleaning in the dinner hall and supervision outside on the playground.

· Provide support to the class teacher and assist in implementing the daily routine of a class; and
· Be able to implement activities for children as required under the direction of the class teacher.

Devonshire Primary Academy is a coeducational primary school with academy status that is situated at the heart of an area of economic and social deprivation in a densely populated part of Blackpool.
