Teaching Assistant Level 2 job summary

As a Teaching Assistant, you will supervise and provide support for students (including 1:1 support) with special educational needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of students’ work

About You

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a school or educational establishment and experience of working unsupervised with classes / groups of students. Candidates will also be educated to NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications or experience and a Level 2 Qualification in English and Maths. Candidates will have the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people and be motivated to work with children and young people.
