About the role
Brotherton and Byram Community Primary Academy is part of the Ebor Academy trust, the school is situated in Knottingley.
We are looking to recruit a dedicated enthusiastic and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to within our Key Stage 2 classrooms.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be passionate about teaching and learning and who believes in developing the true potential of children. You will have a calm and positive disposition, the ability to break down activities into small step teaching and will nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate pupils. Implementing clear boundaries and routines, you will use behaviour management in all areas around school.
The job requirements
We are looking for someone who has experience of working with children in a supportive capacity and have good verbal communication skills. Strong time management, organisational skills and the ability to work well as part of a team are essential to this role.
You will also have the ability to work with small groups under the direction of the class teacher, you will work closely with the class teacher to help the children achieve their best.
Ideally you will be an experienced Teaching Assistant with knowledge and understanding with regards to child development and the curriculum for Key Stage 2.
