What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governing Body of Halfway Junior School is looking to appoint a confident, flexible and energetic Teaching Assistant to join our enthusiastic and talented team as soon as possible. The successful applicant will be a highly motivated professional, dedicated to providing a high level of teaching support across school, working in partnership with classroom teachers, as well as running specific interventions when appropriate. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of working in year 6.

Halfway Junior School is a two-form entry Junior School located at the heart of our community in the south of Sheffield. We have high expectations for all our children and are committed to ensuring they are not only ready for the next step in their education, but also able to positively contribute to their communities. We want our pupils to be confident in their own abilities and resilient when faced with challenges. We want them to understand they are unique and special.
