Monday to Friday, 31.25 hours Teaching Assistant including Lunchtime Cover

Salary NJC Grade B3, Scale Points 7-11, £25,584- £27,269 per annum

Actual Salary £18,131 - £19,326 per annum

The Governors are looking for a highly motivated and inspirational qualified Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our Catholic primary school at St Joseph’s Catholic Voluntary Academy Pudsey. We are looking for someone who is able to motivate and inspire pupils in their learning and behaviour, with the expectation that you will support a child with specific medical and cognitive needs on a 1:1 basis.

Experience of working with children with complex medical needs who require cognitive and emotional support is essential.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is warm, friendly, and empathetic
• Has excellent English, maths and communication skills
• Has an NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent Level 2 childcare qualification
• Understands how individual children learn to ensure rapid progress
• Is committed to high standards of attainment and behaviour
• Works effectively as part of a skilled team including outside agencies
• Someone who may want to develop skills necessary to enter into initial teacher training
• Is a practising Catholic or supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school
