What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governing Body of Halfway Nursery Infant School is looking to appoint a confident, flexible and energetic Teaching Assistant to join our enthusiastic and talented team in September.

The role will be to work across nursery and school, as well as support some hours in our wraparound provision (Breakfast club on a Monday 7:30am - 8:30am). These hours will be paid in addition to the full-time contract.

There is also the possibility of additional hours in our after school club which runs each day until 6pm (hours TBC). These hours will be paid in addition to the full-time contract. Please indicate on your application form your availability for these hours.

Initially this role is for one year. Pupil numbers and budget depending it could be extended.

The successful applicant will be a highly motivated professional, dedicated to providing a high level of teaching support across nursery and school, working in partnership with classroom teachers, running specific interventions when appropriate and supporting children 1:1 when needed. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience of working within the EYFS and KS1.

  • Willing to contribute to school life outside of the classroom.
