What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a record of exemplary and outstanding classroom practice;
- Has high expectations of the children’s learning and behaviour;
- Has excellent organisational and interpersonal skills;
- Experienced in establishing and maintaining good professional relationships, particularly in Early Years;
- Is passionate about making teaching and learning creative and committed to raising standards;
- Is dedicated to making a significant contribution to school life; has knowledge and experience of working with disadvantaged and special needs children.
- Ability to deal effectively with students presenting challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques as appropriate
- The ability to work flexibly and as part of a team, building relationships with children, staff and parents.
This role is for up to 1 year in the first instance due to financial constraints but could be extended if finances allow.

Intake Primary School has a long and proud history as it was first opened in 1884 and has now achieved over 135 years of educational service to the local community.
We are a forward looking school actively preparing children with the skills that they will need to be successful learners in the 21st Century.
