What skills and experience we're looking for
Essential
- GCSE Maths and English Grade A*-C/9-4 or equivalent.
Desirable
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, or relevant experience.

- Experience of working in a school environment or with young people.
Desirable
- Experience of working with students who have complex needs.
- Experience of supporting students with challenging behaviour.
Essential
- Proficient in the use of ICT.
- Ability to supervise and assist students.
- Knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities.
- Display commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people.
Desirable
- First aid qualification.
- Working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation.

- Ability to work under pressure and determination to succeed.
- Have a patient and understanding attitude towards students with varying academic and emotional needs.
