Teaching Assistant Level 2 - Maternity Cover job summary

As a teaching assistant you will prepare and deliver phonics and early maths learning to individual pupils and small groups. Work collaboratively with teaching staff in the planning and preparation of resources and delivery of the curriculum.

You will be responsible for teaching and learning activities with either individuals or groups and facilitate their physical, emotional and educational development.

About You

The successful candidate will need to be qualified in English and Maths to at least Level 2 of the National Qualifications Framework. Have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and have undertaken phonics training.

The successful candidate will also be able to:

Able to work independently and in a group

Able to build successful working relationships

Adaptable

Empathetic with those facing barriers to their learning
