What skills and experience we're looking for
The school is seeking to appoint full-time Teaching Assistants.
We require a committed and innovative person with a passion to work with pupils with SEN, particularly pupils with autism. The successful applicant will need to have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to build excellent relationships with pupils. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of community and will actively engage in all aspects of the wider school life.
We require an experienced teaching assistant with a proven track record of working with pupils with additional needs in either a mainstream or specialist environment. Please ensure all essential criteria are met before submitting an application. This post is for 30 hours per week, term time only, 195 days per year (190 school days plus 5 training days). Normal working hours are from 8.45 am to 3.45 pm with an hour lunch break. We would like the successful candidate to agree to undertake lunchtime supervisory work for 2.5 hours per week, but this will be discussed with the successful applicants.

Northcott School is a special needs school based in Hull. We are an SLCN/ASD school for pupils aged 3 to 19.
