TEACHING ASSISTANT LEVEL 2 job summary
Oakfield High School and College are in an exciting position and looking to appoint highly motivated, enthusiastic, energetic and resilient Level 2 Teaching Assistants (numerous posts). The successful candidates will have evidence of outstanding classroom practice and be able to develop positive relationships, inspire and motivate, engage and challenge learners to achieve.
Candidates must have GCSE’s in English and Maths Grade C or above or equivalent level of qualification in both subjects (proof will be required). Also required is NVQ level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or minimum 12 months experience working with children.

Candidates should be willing to operate as part of the staff team supporting the learning, wellbeing and personal development of all learners under the direction of Senior Leaders, Teaching and Pastoral staff. Successful candidates may be expected to work in any phase across school, although it is not essential that they have prior experience of each phase. They will be expected to work with learners within the general classroom setting or by providing individual 1:1/small group support.

Oakfield High School / College provides for up to 275 mixed secondary aged learners from 11 – 19 years with complex learning difficulties. The learners have a range of difficulties including severe and moderate learning difficulties with associated behavioural problems. Some learners may also have medical conditions and / or physical disabilities that adversely affect their ability to learn.
