What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors and Headteachers are seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant. A knowledge of Special Educational Needs will be helpful as you will be required to support children with additional needs. At Springfield we have a dedicated and innovative team which you will work with to support the teaching and learning of the whole class, small groups and individuals. This will include supervising children over lunchtime and some personal care.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have NVQ/CACHE Diploma Level 2 or equivalent qualifications /experience.
  • Work alongside class teachers to deliver in or out of class support to address the gaps in learning.
  • Be committed, enthusiastic and a team player
  • Develop positive working relationships with children, parents and staff.
  • Contribute to the ethos, values and aims of the school
  • Comply with policies including those related to safeguarding, health and safety and data protection
  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
  • Be flexible in order to achieve the best outcomes for the children
  • Be adaptable and prepared to work across the primary phase
