Teaching Assistant Level 2 job summary
An attractive and exciting post has become available at Upper Arley C of E Primary school are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and hardworking Teaching Assistant to support our Key Stage 2 mixed aged classes.
The purpose of this post is to work with and supervise individuals and groups of children under the direction of the class teacher and senior staff across the school.
This is inclusive of those children with specific learning needs, enabling access to learning for all pupils and assistance and support within classroom management and behaviour techniques providing specialist support in a specific curricular/resource area.
It is essential that the candidate has excellent literacy and numeracy skills, and strong experience of working within the primary age range . The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team. A Teaching Assistant Level 2 Qualification is essential.
Tasks will include supporting the class teacher to ensure learning is maximised and the specific needs of pupils are met within the classroom setting.
This is an exciting new post, as the school continues its journey to serve its community and continue to develop a good reputation for learning.
This position is part time and temporary for one term until 31st August 2021.
30 hours per week.
