What skills and experience we're looking for
Teaching Assistants are responsible for supporting and leading small groups and individuals with Maths, English, Reading, SEMH, vocational and practical activities, supporting pupils to develop resilience, social skills and self-esteem, and deploying effective strategies for supporting pupils with a range of behavioural needs.
Your role will include:
Supporting teachers to delivery effective and accessible learning for all students
Offering personalised support to help students achieve
To be a calm, regulated presence to support children with all emotions, including Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
To recognise and praise small steps of progress with students and be proud and celebrate these
To help support the teacher in the organisation and running of a classroom
To recognise that every child is unique and to be able to support them with strategies to help them in school
To raise students academic levels in Maths, English and Reading
