Teaching Assistant – Level 3 Apprenticeship
We have an exciting opportunity for a new Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprentice to join our school
Duration: Fixed-term 24 month contract
Workplace: Rivington & Blackrod High School, Rivington Lane, Rivington, Bolton BL6 7RU
Working Hours: 31.75 hours per week Mon-Fri, term-time plus 5 days,
4 days a week 8.30am to 3.20pm and 1 day a week 8.30am to 3.25pm
Unpaid 30 minute lunch break each day
Salary: Apprentice national minimum wage – depending on age
Term time, plus 5 days in the school holidays (the salary is paid evenly each month over the whole year)
Overview:
This is a 24 month fixed-term employment contract, based on a course duration of 20 months, plus an additional 4 months for end point assessment, which will allow you to develop your knowledge and understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant whilst receiving valuable, practical work experience in a school.
You will work towards your Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification across a duration of 24 months. You will have an allocated tutor through our external apprenticeship provider, Runshaw College, who will support you throughout the apprenticeship, along with support from the school.
This role is an ideal foundation for anyone considering a career either as a Teaching Assistant or Classroom Teacher. You will be based in a classroom environment and the main focus of your role will be providing support to teaching staff and students in a variety of ways.
