31.75 hours per week, Term Time Plus 5 days
Monday – Friday , 8.30am – 3.20pm 4 days a week and 8.30am – 3.25pm 1 day a week, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break each day
The school wishes to appoint a Teaching Assistant with experience of working with students with special needs, including those with Educational Healthcare Plans and with their families and supporting agencies. The role focuses on helping to support learning and the development of positive behaviour and social skills for those student’s diagnosed with Developmental Language Disorders. The successful applicant will work within the Speech and Language resource provision, liaising with teachers, parents and therapists to support the children. We seek an outstanding and caring professional who can:
- Working directly with DLD students with in the resource provision; working under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom.
- This include acquiring/using specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teacher in the planning, management and preparation of resources.
- Supervision of the resource provision during the absence of a Lead teacher / Level 4 Teaching Assistant.
